Firing Service

$4.50 per kg* (inc. GST) Flat Rate for:

Þ Bisque Firing 1000°C

Þ Earthenware Glaze Firing 1100°C

Þ Midfire Glaze Firing 1200°C

Þ Stoneware Glaze Firing 1300°C

Þ MINIMUM CHARGE $4.50

Turn around time for work being fired is approximately 2-3 weeks for bisque-ware.

Turn around time for glaze firings varies according to demand.  Contact The Clay Shed for current glaze firing schedule.

Our storage is limited, therefore uncollected work will be disposed of after 1 month.

We take extreme care with your work but accidents do happen and we are unable to guarantee your pieces will successfully be fired.  If you have any concerns you may choose not to use the service.

To help us protect the kilns and other peoples’ work:

· We do not accept wet work.  It must be 100% dry when dropping it off for firing.  If you are unsure ask us.

· We will not fire work with glazed bases.

· We do not fire raw glazed work.
